Christmas Open House

We would like to invite everyone out to our 3rd Annual Christmas Open House.  We will be hosting this event for two days.  Please note that the store will open one hour later than normal on the Saturday to allow us to be prepared:

November 16, 2014 10:00am to 5:00pm

The event will feature the following:

• The caboose will be decorated and open to allow people to come in and see a few running layouts in various scales (Thomas the Tank will be running for the kids), as well as enjoy some Christmas treats

Grey Central Christmas Open House

Once again this year the Grey Central Model Railway Club will open its doors to the public for a Christmas Open House on December 7, 2014.  This is your chance to see a great layout in action. 

This is a great event for the whole family.  The event runs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.  This is your chance if you missed the event in September to see what Model Railroading is all about. 

Thomas the Tank will be running on the layout that day as well, so even the young ones will find something of interest.  So get into the Christmas spirit by dropping by.  Take a little time to see what the group has been up to and enjoy the additions that they have made over the past months.

Many ways to shop

Just a reminder that even though the store is only open on the weekends there are many ways to shop with us:

• Physically at the store, Saturdays 9-6 and Sundays 10-5, or by appointment during the week by calling or emailing the day before to set up an appointment
• Pickup your product in Waterloo
• Mail/ship your order to you

We try to make getting you what you need easy.  A reminder that we place orders weekly so if there is something that we don’t have in stock we are always more than happy to order it in for you.

Train Show Locations

Grey Central Railway Open House & Train Show This Weekend—Saturday, September 20, 2014

With the onset of fall comes the train shows and this weekend there is one close to all of our customers that are in the Grey/Bruce Area. The Grey Central Railway Club will be hosting their Annual Open House and Train show this Saturday September 20, 2014 from 10am to 4pm. It is located at the Participation Lodge five minutes east of Holland Centre.

For those that do not want to drive down to the cities where the majority of the shows are happening this is a great way to take in a train show close to home.

This event will feature the Grey Central Railway Layout operating, a few additional layouts are usually brought in for the event, and a selection of vendors selling railway items and supplies.

So come on out and support a local train show.

Fall is Here Once Again

It is hard to believe that the summer has come and gone already.  With the onset of fall we are starting to see more of the long awaited releases starting to trickle in.  Atlas is slowly getting many of the products that have been out of stock for a long while back in.  While they are starting to release more track products there is still shortages on some of the products, so if wondering if something is in stock it is best to ask.

We are currently working on a redesign of the website, including an updated listing of products once again.   The catalogue project has been a summer one with me spending countless hours charting all the stock in the store into the new system that the catalogue is going to use to draw the information from. 

With fall coming our hours have returned to the following till the end of September:

• Saturday 9:00am to 8:00pm
• Sunday 10:00am to 8:00pm

Please note that if weather is rainy or cold we will be closed both days at 6:00pm.

Starting in October our hours will be:

• Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm
• Sunday 10:00am to 5:00pm

Weekday day appointments are still available by calling my cell 519-807-2345 a day before you wish to get in the store.  If I am unable to answer please just leave a message, all calls are returned the same day left. 

Pickups are also still available in Waterloo Monday to Friday.  Basic stock is usually on hand and items that are not can be brought to Waterloo within a week.
