Fall is definitely here once again. It is hard to believe how summer passed faster and faster every year. With so many summer things wrapping up, and a heavy show schedule for us in September our October issue of the Tail End News got a little delayed. While better late than never, we hope that you enjoy this issue and send any feedback over to us, as we are always looking for ways to improve our little publication.

If you have not made it into the store in the last couple of months you have missed the coolest line to come in this year. We now carry Osborn Model Kits--laser wood kits with exceptional detail. These products are guaranteed to add realism to any layout. Items such as welcome signs, mailboxes and picnic tables are just a few of the unique items that you can add to your layout.
We currently only stock HO scale items, however most of these items are also available in N and O scales. Check out our on-line catalogue for product and pricing. We are more than happy to order these products in any scale for you.

For those that may not be aware, November is National Railroad Month. What better time could there be to show off your layout to friends and neighbours? Who knows...you may help someone find the world's greatest hobby.
For the month of November please forward us pictures of your layout so that we may display your creations for all to see. Now is the time to let your layout shine. Pictures can be forwarded to carol@countylinecaboose.ca
A while back we mentioned that our consignment area has now been added to our site. This is a great area to check if you are looking for gently used, older items that may not be on the market any longer, or just looking for something different for your layout.
We welcome anyone with items that they would like to sell to bring them into the store and we will add them to this section. We do ask that you contact us before hand if bringing in more than 5 items as we do not always have room. Also all items that are brought in need to have the prices clearly marked, we do not assign prices--this part is up to you. All items that are in the store on consignment have been listed in the Consignment Catalogue on our web site (along with pictures when available).
We have made changes in the last week to make adding items to this section quicker and easier, so check this section often as you never know what may show up there.

As mentioned before we are in the process of changing and improving our web site. One common request was to make it easier to place an order. In answer to that request we have added the Place Order button to the catalogue. Now, you can click on that button to bring up an order enter form where you can enter product numbers and quantities. If the product number is recognized, an appropriate description and price will show up on screen to assist you in totalling your order. If a proper description and price do not show up, this only means that it isn't an item listed in our catalog and we will do our best to locate that item for you.
We encourage those that wish to order online from us to use this new feature and offer any feedback to help us improve.

This fall will see a big change in our train store hours. We have decided that our week day hours will be discontinued, effective September 4, 2007.
We have always prided ourselves in promoting and delivering good customer service, and in reviewing our position feel that we can best continue this high level of service by being open continuously on weekends with knowledgeable staff there to serve you. Our web site will continue to be improved and added to, and we are always just an email away for advice, product information and pricing. As well, we will continue to attend train shows and post them on the site--if you would wish product brought to any show for a pickup we will be more than happy to make those arrangements.
It is our plan to redo the current web site to make it even more user friendly for ordering products for shipping. If you are one of our customers that can only make it to our location during the week, please send us an email and we will try to work out special arrangements. As more and more people are making use of the K-W after hours location during the week, we will be continuing to have that available Monday to Thursday in that area.
We welcome your comments on this upcoming hours change. If you feel that this move does not live up to your expectations of our store, in any way, please let us know. We want to ensure that you continue to receive the highest level of service.

We would like to thank all the people that have commented on the new blog format that we had tried out with the June issue. Since than we have had many great comments and the transition has now been made. We have been a little slow at getting the next one out as we made the arrangements to continue from now one with this new format.
